They leave Earth on a routine mission, only to encounter the menace of the genetically enhanced tyrant Khan, once marooned by Kirk on a hostile planet. Gaining control of the world-shattering Genesis device, Khan wants to make his dreams of revenge and galactic conquest a reality. When William Shatner as Kirk and Ricardo Montalban as Khan face off, it's a feast of deliciously over-the-top acting. With swashbuckling action, sacrifices by beloved characters and a touching subtext about aging warriors fighting their last battles, "The Wrath of Khan" merits repeated viewings. This two-disc set offers a new director's cut and scads of extra features. It's a must-have.
